The Hardest Part of Building a Coaching Practice
The hardest part of building a coaching practice hasn't been the coaching.
I've recently completed my Level 7 Diploma in Executive Coaching & Mentoring. I'm very proud of that milestone.
Now comes the next challenge: building my coaching practice.
It's taken me into new territory. After a career in Engineering and Operations Management, I'm used to solving practical problems, improving systems, and helping teams make progress. But developing a coaching practice has stretched me in different ways.
One thing has become very clear.
The conversations that have helped me most have been those with trusted friends and colleagues, people who created the space for me to think clearly, speak honestly, and work out what mattered next.
For me, that's also what good coaching is about.
Tools, frameworks and processes all have their place. But at the heart of coaching is a trusted space: one where people can pause, reflect, gain clarity and move forward with purpose.
That's the kind of coaching practice I'm building.
I'll be sharing more over the coming weeks about my coaching philosophy and approach.
Meanwhile, if you're looking for clarity, focus and practical progress, I'd welcome the opportunity to talk.
